Med-1 has expanded the familiar concept of disaster recovery beyond a singular focus on data backup, to include supplementary needs as well.
According to the BCP approach, a number of critical personnel in the organization must have the ability to resume working immediately, even if the organization undergoes a disaster which shuts down its production site.
This solution enables those individuals who hold critical roles for the company's day to day operations to continue their work uninterruptedly. These include executives such as the company's CFO, information system administrators, or other senior officers whose continued work is critical to the company's ongoing operations.
For the purpose of implementing this approach, Med-1 provides its clients with designated operational areas and work stations (including infrastructure prepared in advance to accommodate computers) for use in the event of an emergency, as well as tape backup storage, telephony and alternative communication infrastructures, alternative offices, and support from operational staff. All this and more is made available to the client.
These services enable the business organization to continue its routine operations, even in the event that its computer rooms, offices or any other operational component constituting an important part of routine operations, become unavailable. Each solution is designed to meet the client's specific needs, and is implemented in one of the data centers maintained by Med-1.
